Vinification
The wine undergoes classic Bordeaux vinification with maceration and ageing in French oak barriques (new and second-fill) for 16–18 months. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot brings together structure and roundness. The style aims at elegance and ageing potential.
Winery Story
Château Cantenac Brown is a historic Third Growth Grand Cru Classé from the Margaux appellation, recognisable by its distinctive Tudor-style château. The estate has belonged to the Le Lous family since 2019, which has continued a major renewal of the vineyards and cellar. In recent years the château has shown significant progress in quality under the direction of José Sanfins.
Vineyard Story
The vineyards, covering some 42 hectares, lie on the gravelly Günz terrace soils of the Cantenac plateau in Margaux, providing excellent drainage. The average vine age is around 35 years, lending depth and concentration to the fruit. The terroir shapes a classic Margaux profile — fine tannins and a refined bouquet.
