Vinification
Classic Bordeaux vinification with maceration and ageing in oak barrels. The blend is built around Merlot, which lends softness and fruitiness, while the Cabernets add structure and length. The 2017 vintage in Saint-Émilion was marked by a warm summer and good fruit concentration.
Winery Story
Château Mangot is a family estate in the eastern part of the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation. The winery is run across several generations of the Todeschini family and is known for producing classic Bordeaux wines in the traditional style. The estate regularly confirms its Grand Cru status and pays particular attention to its terraced vineyards.
Vineyard Story
Château Mangot's vineyards lie on the limestone and clay-limestone soils typical of right-bank Bordeaux. This soil composition is ideal for Merlot, giving the fruit concentration and elegance. The location on slight elevations supports good drainage and even ripening.
