Vinification
Made using the ancestral method (méthode ancestrale): a sparkling wine bottled before primary fermentation completes, with no added yeasts or sugar for a secondary fermentation. Claus Preisinger works with minimal intervention, no filtration, and little or no added sulfur. The result is a lively, slightly cloudy, refreshing sparkler that showcases the character of the Saint Laurent grape.
Winery Story
Claus Preisinger is one of Austria's best-known natural winemakers, based in Gols (Burgenland) on the shore of Lake Neusiedl. A pioneer of biodynamic winemaking in the region, he works along Rudolf Steiner's principles with a focus on the health of soil and vine. His wines have achieved cult status among natural-wine enthusiasts around the world.
Vineyard Story
The vineyards lie in Burgenland, in the unique microclimate shaped by Lake Neusiedl — one of the largest steppe lakes in Europe. Saint Laurent is perfectly adapted to the local loamy and limestone soils, yielding elegant, aromatic wines with pronounced fruit and floral character. Biodynamic farming brings a lively, expressive terroir to every glass.
