Vinification
The wine is made from Chambolle-Musigny vineyards known for an elegant, delicate style. Alaïs Confuron works in traditional Burgundian methods: hand harvest, partial or full destemming, ageing in oak barrels usually 12 to 18 months. The domain's style leans towards fruit purity and a fine balance without excessive intervention.
Winery Story
Domaine Jean-Jacques Confuron is a small family estate in Premeaux-Prissey (Côte de Nuits), run by Sophie Confuron and her husband Alain Meunier. The domaine farms carefully with minimal intervention and enjoys great respect among Burgundy lovers.
Vineyard Story
Chambolle-Musigny is a village at the heart of the Côte de Nuits whose soils consist of a thin layer of limestone and clay over the bedrock. This commune is famous for the most feminine and aromatic Pinot Noirs of Burgundy, thanks to a high limestone content that gives a characteristic minerality and grace. The 2020 vineyards benefited from a warm but balanced season, leading to concentrated yet fresh fruit.
