Vinification
Fruit from the Les Vergers Premier Cru in Chassagne-Montrachet is fermented and aged in Burgundian barrels (mostly older ones), ensuring fine integration of the oak. Pierre Girardin works in a minimalist style, avoiding excessive intervention and preserving the purity of the terroir. The winemaking aims at the precision and elegance characteristic of the white wines of the Côte de Beaune.
Winery Story
Pierre Girardin is a young but already respected Burgundian winemaker who founded his estate in 2014 after working at several prestigious domaines. His approach combines respect for Burgundian tradition with a modern understanding of terroir and minimal cellar intervention. In a short time he has earned a high reputation among critics and collectors.
Vineyard Story
Les Vergers is one of the most prized Premier Crus in the Chassagne-Montrachet appellation, sitting on limestone slopes with a high white-clay content. The terroir is marked by pronounced minerality and the ability to produce wines with excellent ageing potential. The vineyard faces east-south-east, allowing gentle sun exposure and the preservation of fresh acidity.
