Vinification
The wine is made from the autochthonous Dalmatian variety Babić, grown on the stony soils of the Adriatic coast. Classic fermentation followed by ageing in oak vessels to add structure and complexity. The style aims at expressing the terroir character of the variety at a moderate alcohol level.
Winery Story
Vinas Mora is a small Dalmatian winery focused on preserving and promoting the region's autochthonous varieties. The producer places an emphasis on expressing the uniqueness of the Dalmatian terroir through a minimalist approach to winemaking. Their work with the Babić grape reflects a deep respect for local winemaking traditions.
Vineyard Story
The vineyards lie in Dalmatia on the characteristic stony soils with a high limestone content, lending the wine pronounced minerality. The Mediterranean climate with its hot summer and mild winter shapes a saturated yet elegant profile in the fruit. Babić has historically been cultivated in this very region, adapting to the harsh conditions of the karst landscape.
