Vinification
Alain Voge's 'Fleur de Crussol' cuvée is a classic reading of Saint-Péray made from 100% Marsanne grown on the granite slopes of the Crussol hill. The wine ferments and ages in oak barrels, which add roundness and depth while preserving the appellation's freshness. The style aims at elegance and terroir expression rather than heavy extraction.
Winery Story
Alain Voge is one of the legendary names of the Northern Rhône, who founded his estate in Cornas in the 1950s. The domaine is known for its careful approach to the traditional Cornas and Saint-Péray appellations and for its move to organic farming. Today the estate is led by Lionel Fraisse.
Vineyard Story
The Saint-Péray vineyards lie south of Valence, at the foot of the picturesque ruins of the Château de Crussol, on steep granite terraces. Soils of crushed granite and gneiss provide the characteristic minerality and freshness of Marsanne, despite the southern exposure. The microclimate of the appellation shapes lively, aromatic whites compared with the heavier neighbours.
