Vinification
Tamjanika is an aromatic grape of the Muscat family, traditional to Smederevo and its surroundings. Winemakers typically aim to preserve the variety's natural aromatics with low-temperature fermentation and minimal intervention. The style is light, fresh, with an emphasis on florality and fruit.
Winery Story
Winery Kostić is located on the Zlatni Breg hills near Smederevo — one of Serbia's oldest winemaking regions. The small family estate pays special attention to autochthonous varieties, above all Tamjanika, preserving local winemaking traditions.
Vineyard Story
The Zlatni Breg ('golden hill') vineyards lie in Pomoravlje, where a moderately continental climate and mineral-rich soils create favourable conditions for aromatic varieties. The terroir of this area is historically associated with the cultivation of Tamjanika, which here reveals a characteristic floral and spicy character.
