Vinification
Tamjanika is an aromatic autochthonous Serbian variety related to Muscat. The wine is typically made in a light style with an emphasis on preserving the variety's floral and spicy aromas. Low-temperature fermentation lets the delicate natural aroma and a touch of residual sweetness come through.
Winery Story
Winery Baša is located on the slopes of Fruška Gora — Serbia's oldest viticultural region. The estate specialises in autochthonous Serbian varieties, aiming to express the unique character of the local terroir. A small family production with attention to detail and the region's traditions.
Vineyard Story
Fruška Gora is a mountain range in Vojvodina stretching along the Danube with centuries of winemaking history. A mild continental climate with moderate summer temperatures and a good diurnal range is ideal for aromatic grapes such as Tamjanika. The soils are mostly loess and clay-limestone, giving the wines a mineral backbone.
