Vinification

Chardonnay is fermented and aged in oak barrels (barrique), giving the wine a creamy texture and vanilla notes. The style follows a Burgundian approach with an emphasis on the integration of wood and fruit. Malolactic fermentation is carried out to soften acidity and add a buttery feel.

Winery Story

Winery Deurić is located on the slopes of Fruška Gora — Serbia's oldest winemaking region. The family estate specialises in quality wines made from both international and autochthonous varieties. The winery consistently raises quality, with particular attention to oak ageing.

Vineyard Story

Fruška Gora is a mountain range in Vojvodina with a moderately continental climate and rich loess and clay-limestone soils. The vineyards lie on south and south-west facing slopes, which ensures optimal sun exposure and ripening of Chardonnay. The region has a centuries-old winemaking tradition reaching back to the time of the Roman Empire.
