Vinification
Chardonnay from Fruška Gora, most aged in oak barrels, which gives the wine its characteristic creamy texture and vanilla notes. The name 'Marmalade' hints at a rich fruit character with shades of citrus and peach preserves. The style is mature, full-bodied white with an emphasis on fruit and a soft oak frame.
Winery Story
Winery Deurić is a family estate on the slopes of Fruška Gora in Serbia, one of the oldest winemaking regions in the Balkans. The winemakers work with local and international varieties, aiming to convey the unique terroir of this mountain range. The estate is known for its attention to quality and small batches of signature wines.
Vineyard Story
Fruška Gora is a low mountain ridge in Vojvodina stretching along the Danube, with a winemaking history reaching back to Roman times. A moderately continental climate with plenty of sunshine and cool nights ensures good aromatic build-up while preserving acidity. Loess and clay soils give Chardonnay a characteristic roundness and fruit density.
