Vinification

The cuvée is made from several varieties — Grüner Veltliner, Furmint and Sauvignon — grown in Christian Tschida's biodynamic vineyards on the shores of Lake Neusiedl. The winemaking is minimalist: spontaneous fermentation, ageing in neutral vessels without intervention, minimal or no added sulfur. The goal is to convey the Burgenland terroir as precisely as possible in a living, unfiltered style.

Winery Story

Christian Tschida is one of the most consistent adepts of natural winemaking in Austria, working on the Hungarian border in the area of Lake Neusiedl. He has given up certification in favour of full experimental freedom, while strictly adhering to biodynamic principles in the vineyard. His wines are cult favourites among lovers of the natural movement around the world.

Vineyard Story

The vineyards lie in Burgenland, near Lake Neusiedl, where the lake's influence creates a unique mesoclimate of warm days and cool nights. The soils are varied — limestone, loam and sandstone — giving the wines characteristic minerality and structure. The mix of local and unconventional varieties reflects Tschida's philosophy: experiment while remaining faithful to place.
