Vinification
A traditional-method Blanc de Noirs from the rare Catalan variety Sumoll, grown in Clos Lentiscus's biodynamic vineyards in Penedès. Fermentation and lees ageing in bottle give the wine complexity and a creamy texture. Brut Nature — no dosage — highlights the natural acidity and the minerality of the terroir.
Winery Story
Clos Lentiscus is a small family estate in Penedès that practices biodynamic viticulture strictly within Demeter certification. The winery specialises in reviving native Catalan varieties — above all the rare Sumoll, nearly lost from the region. The approach is built on minimal intervention in vineyard and cellar alike.
Vineyard Story
Clos Lentiscus's vineyards lie in the El Garraf subzone of Penedès, on limestone soils with chalk outcrops near the Mediterranean. Maritime influence and lean, stony soils give the wines pronounced minerality and freshness. The Sumoll vines are among the oldest on the estate, lending concentration and depth even in a sparkling style.
