Vinification
Brunello di Montalcino is made from 100% Sangiovese Grosso (Brunello) and aged in large Slavonian oak casks for at least two years per the DOCG rules, followed by additional bottle ageing. The 2017 vintage was warm and dry, yielding concentrated, mature wines with soft tannins and a saturated fruit profile.
Winery Story
Fattoria La Magia is a family estate on the south-west slopes of Montalcino, owned by the Schwarz family. The winery produces classic Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino, combining a traditional approach to winemaking with attention to terroir.
Vineyard Story
La Magia's vineyards lie at around 350 metres above sea level with a south-west exposure of Montalcino — one of the warmer zones of the appellation. The soils are galestro and alberese, lending the wines their characteristic minerality and structure.
