Vinification
A classic Rosso di Montalcino from Sangiovese, aged in oak barrels for a shorter period than Brunello, which preserves freshness and fruitiness. The wine plays the role of Brunello's 'younger brother' — more approachable and drinkable, with an elegant structure. Fattoria La Magia keeps to a traditional approach to winemaking in the Montalcino zone.
Winery Story
Fattoria La Magia is a family estate at the heart of Montalcino in Tuscany. The winery focuses on making wines from Sangiovese Grosso (Brunello), with respect for the traditions and terroir of this legendary appellation. The estate aims for organic farming and minimal intervention through the winemaking process.
Vineyard Story
The vineyards lie on the hills of Montalcino at around 300–400 metres above sea level, with good ventilation and varied galestro and clay soils. The specific microclimate of the zone — hot summers and cool nights — ensures optimal Sangiovese ripening while preserving natural acidity. The Montalcino terroir gives the wines their characteristic minerality and structure.
