Vinification
A classic Burgundian Pinot Noir aged in oak barrels (mostly old) to preserve varietal purity and terroir expression. Fermentation with partial whole-cluster use gives the wine freshness and a floral note. Minimal cellar intervention lets the character of the Bourgogne Rouge appellation come through.
Winery Story
Domaine Henri & Gilles Buisson is a family estate from Saint-Romain in the Côte de Beaune, passed down through several generations. Brothers Henri and Gilles hold to a respectful relationship with the land and to traditional Burgundian winemaking methods. The domain is known for honest, terroir-driven wines that reflect Burgundy's character without unnecessary corrections.
Vineyard Story
The vineyards for Bourgogne Rouge lie in the Côte de Beaune and adjoining areas on limestone and clay-limestone soils. The moderate continental Burgundian climate of 2022 provided good ripeness while preserving natural acidity. Young and mature Pinot Noir vines yield fruit with a bright fruit profile supported by minerality.
