Vinification

A Kamptal Pinot Noir produced by Loimer in a biodynamic style. Fermentation runs with gentle extraction; ageing takes place in mid-size barrels to preserve freshness and a sense of place. The style aims at delicacy and the expression of site rather than at power.

Winery Story

Fred Loimer is one of the most respected winemakers in the Kamptal, who has moved his estate to biodynamic farming and certified it under the Demeter standard. Loimer actively promotes the idea of terroir-driven winemaking and minimal cellar intervention, making wines with a clear Austrian character.

Vineyard Story

Loimer's vineyards lie in the Kamptal — a region with a unique combination of gneiss and loess soils, a cool continental climate and the influence of the Kamp river. These conditions give the region's red wines their characteristic acidity, freshness and mineral precision.
