Vinification
Kadarka Kew from Sagmeister is a light, delicate red wine from the autochthonous Kadarka grape, aged in a minimalist style with an emphasis on freshness and varietal character. The winemaking includes a short maceration and gentle handling of the fruit. The style aims at drinkability and the terroir expressiveness of Fruška Gora.
Winery Story
Sagmeister is a small Serbian winery working in the Fruška Gora region and specialising in autochthonous grapes of the Balkan Peninsula. The producer pays particular attention to minimal intervention in the winemaking process and to preserving the regional character of the wines. The Kadarka Kew cuvée reflects a philosophy of honest, terroir-driven winemaking.
Vineyard Story
Fruška Gora is a picturesque mountain range in Vojvodina, northern Serbia, known for its limestone soils and a mild Pannonian climate. Kadarka has historically been one of this region's key grape varieties, perfectly adapted to local conditions. Moderate altitudes and good vineyard ventilation help build a high natural acidity in the fruit.
