Vinification
The wine is made from Lipolist (Hárslevelű) — an aromatic Hungarian-Serbian variety cultivated on Fruška Gora. The 'Zero' style implies a minimalist approach to winemaking with minimal intervention, gentle pressing and ageing in neutral vessels to preserve primary aromas. The result is a fresh white that clearly expresses the variety, with an emphasis on natural acidity and floral character.
Winery Story
Sagmeister is a small Serbian winery on the slopes of Fruška Gora, working with local and lesser-known grape varieties. The winemakers focus on minimal intervention and terroir expression, paying particular attention to indigenous and rare varieties of the region. The estate's philosophy aims to rethink the potential of Serbian winemaking through a clean and honest style.
Vineyard Story
Fruška Gora is a mountain ridge in Vojvodina with a mild continental climate and varied loess and clay soils, well suited to aromatic varieties. Lipolist (the local name for Hárslevelű) was historically cultivated in this region and is perfectly adapted to local conditions, yielding wines with a pronounced floral and fruit profile. Moderate altitudes and good ventilation of the vineyards help preserve fresh acidity.
