Vinification

The wine is made from old Pinot Noir vines on the limestone soils of Chassagne-Montrachet. Classic Burgundian vinification with ageing in oak barrels, mostly old, to preserve the purity of the terroir. The style is delicate, with an emphasis on expressing the place of origin.

Winery Story

Sylvain Morey is a hereditary winemaker from the village of Chassagne-Montrachet, where his family has been making wine for several generations. He works with small plots, paying particular attention to minimal intervention in both vineyard and cellar. His wines are known for precision and an elegant expression of the Burgundian terroir.

Vineyard Story

The old-vine vineyards in Chassagne-Montrachet lie on the limestone-clay soils typical of the Côte de Beaune. The age of the vines ensures low yields and a concentration of aromatic compounds. The Chassagne terroir is traditionally associated with white wines, but here Pinot Noir gives refined, mineral reds.
