Vinification
A blend of Sauvignon and Morillon (Chardonnay) from Styria, fermented in stainless steel or neutral vessels to preserve freshness and varietal character. The style is light and drinkable, with an emphasis on the bright acidity and aromatics characteristic of the Styrian terroir.
Winery Story
Werlitsch, the estate of Ewald Tscheppe, is a small family property in Southern Styria working organically and focused on clean, terroir-driven wines. The estate holds to a minimalist approach in winemaking, letting the fruit express the character of its origin without excessive intervention.
Vineyard Story
The vineyards lie in Styria — a region known for its steep slopes, cool climate and slate-clay soils, which give the wines bright acidity and pronounced minerality. Sauvignon Blanc is the region's signature, while Morillon adds roundness and depth to the blend.
