Vinification
Rive Gauche is a Blanc de Noirs from Pinot Meunier grown on left-bank Marne vineyards. Fermentation and ageing take place in old oak barrels, and dosage is minimal. The wine expresses the terroir character of Pinot Meunier in its purest, most undisguised form.
Winery Story
Maison Bérêche & Fils is a small récoltant-manipulant from Ludes, run by brothers Raphaël and Vincent Bérêche. The estate is among the most respected small Champagne producers, working its own vineyards along organic and biodynamic lines. The goal is to deliver the most precise terroir character of each plot.
Vineyard Story
The grapes for Rive Gauche come from the left bank of the Marne — an area historically associated with Pinot Meunier. Clay-limestone soils with a pronounced chalk subsoil give the wine its characteristic minerality and freshness. The left-bank terroir produces a juicier, more aromatic style than the right-bank plots.
