Vinification
Puszta Libre is a light, drinkable red from Claus Preisinger, a pioneer winemaker of Burgenland's natural movement. The grapes are farmed biodynamically; the wine is made with minimal intervention, with no or very little sulfur. The style is deliberately fresh and approachable — for everyday pleasure.
Winery Story
Claus Preisinger is one of Austria's best-known natural winemakers, working in the Lake Neusiedl area of Burgenland. He moved to biodynamic farming in the early 2000s and became a key figure of the Austrian natural movement. His wines stand out for their honesty, freshness and expressive terroir character.
Vineyard Story
Preisinger's vineyards lie on the Pannonian plains of Burgenland near Lake Neusiedl, where the continental climate with hot summers and cold nights ensures good acidity and ripeness. Light sandy and loamy soils give the wine its delicacy and drinkability, characteristic of this appellation.
