Vinification
Gusbourne Brut Reserve is a classic assemblage of the three Champagne grapes (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier), produced by the traditional method with at least 36 months on the lees. The winemaking aims for freshness, fine bubbles and the bready autolytic notes. A minimal dosage highlights the cool English climate and the natural acidity.
Winery Story
Gusbourne is one of the leading English wine producers, founded in 2004 in Kent. The estate quickly earned international recognition for its meticulous approach to sparkling-wine production and for its substantial vineyards across Kent and East Sussex. Gusbourne specialises exclusively in the classic Champagne grapes, expressing the cool English terroir through fine, elegant cuvées.
Vineyard Story
Gusbourne's vineyards lie on the chalk and clay-limestone soils of Kent and East Sussex — geologically the same as those of Champagne on the other side of the Channel. A cool maritime climate with a long growing season ensures high natural acidity and a slow build-up of aromatics. This makes the region one of the most promising in the world for classic sparkling-wine production.
