Vinification
A cuvée from old Pinot Meunier vines, aged in barrels and tanks without malolactic fermentation to preserve bright acidity. Dosage is minimal, highlighting varietal and terroir purity. The wine is made by the traditional Champagne method with extended lees ageing.
Winery Story
Laherte Frères is a family estate in Chavot-Courcourt near Épernay, run by Aurélien Laherte, sixth generation at the helm. The estate is known for its uncompromising commitment to organic and biodynamic winemaking, and for its focus on the varietal identity of Pinot Meunier. Their work has set a benchmark for the new generation of récoltants-manipulants in Champagne.
Vineyard Story
The vineyards lie in the village of Chavot and the surrounding area, on the chalk and limestone soils of the Marne valley — a classic terroir for Pinot Meunier. The 'Vieilles Vignes' vines are several decades old, providing concentration and depth of fruit. Biodynamic practice supports the soil's vitality and the expressiveness of the terroir.
