Vinification
An assemblage of all three classic Champagne varieties, with a focus on Meunier characteristic of Laherte Frères. Lees ageing in bottle brings depth and autolytic complexity, while the minimal extra-brut dosage preserves freshness and minerality. The wine reflects the concept of 'ultratradition' — maximum fidelity to terroir and craft, with no excess intervention.
Winery Story
Laherte Frères is a family estate in Chavot-Courcourt, just south of Épernay, run by Aurélien Laherte, sixth generation at the helm. The estate has moved to organic and biodynamic farming and become one of the most distinctive voices of the récoltant-manipulant movement in Champagne. Their wines stand out for their expressive terroir character and precise work with Meunier.
Vineyard Story
The vineyards lie in Chavot and the surrounding villages of the Marne valley, where chalk and limestone soils with clay layers dominate. This terroir shapes the signature minerality and salinity of Laherte's wines. Biodynamic farming strengthens the health of the soil and amplifies the expression of place in the glass.
