Vinification
A light natural red wine combining Syrah, Grenache and Gamay in the style characteristic of Le Raisin et L'Ange — minimal intervention, native yeasts, no fining or filtration. Low alcohol and a fresh structure point to short maceration and an early removal from the skins. The aim is liveliness and drinkability rather than concentration.
Winery Story
Le Raisin et L'Ange is a small natural estate in the Rhône valley, founded by Gilles Azzoni, known for his minimal-intervention philosophy and respect for the terroir. The winemaker works with organically grown grapes, avoiding chemicals in both vineyard and cellar. The estate has become one of the symbols of the natural-wine movement in southern France.
Vineyard Story
The vineyards lie in the Ardèche and adjoining zones of the Rhône valley on granite and schist soils that provide minerality and freshness. The variety of grapes in the assemblage reflects the mosaic of the estate's terroirs. A moderate climate and the altitude of the vineyards help preserve natural acidity even in warm years.
