Vinification
The cuvée is made by the traditional method (méthode classique) from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grown on the hills of Franciacorta. The wine ages for an extended period on lees in bottle, giving the characteristic autolytic complexity. The 'Nature' label points to zero or minimal dosage — a brut-nature or extra-brut style.
Winery Story
Nicola Gatta is a small family producer in Lombardy, working in the tradition of fine Italian sparkling winemaking. The estate puts terroir expressiveness first, with minimal intervention through the winemaking process. The Cuvée Nature embodies the producer's philosophy — honest, living wine without unnecessary additions.
Vineyard Story
The vineyards lie on the hills of Franciacorta in Lombardy — the region's key zone for traditional-method sparkling wines. The soils are rich in limestone and chalk, giving minerality and refreshing acidity in the glass. A moderate continental climate influenced by Lake Iseo allows slow ripening of the fruit.
